I began practicing yoga as a child and initiated my career in massage therapy in 2012. Throughout the years, my work has evolved into a unique mixture of practices designed to alleviate stress and enhance well-being. With essential oils and guided meditation techniques, I create a calm space for others to let go of mental chatter and create present moment awareness. This is the key to allowing expansion of the mind, which enables relaxation and the ability to recognize patterns that might need altering to better serve our individual selves and the world in which we live.
In May of 2016, I began working at Breathe Yoga and Massage. Today it is an absolute dream come true to own and operate Breathe with the love of my life, Zach. We strive to further the growth of Breathe to sustain a tranquil studio that provides phenomenal yoga and massage for our community.

I have been practicing yoga for many years and enjoy guiding others in a safe and inspiring way. I will motivate you to listen to what feels best in your body, yet also encourage you to master challenging postures and routines. You might be surprised at what you can accomplish!
Practice Yoga for Strength on Mondays at 6:30pm, Yoga for Mobility on Saturdays at 9:30am and the new Thursday 6:30pm Yoga for Endurance, kicking off October 1 2020.
I began studying yoga in 1979 at Saddleback College in southern California and have learned from Sathya Sai Baba, Sondra Ray, the Self Realization Fellowship of Paramahansa Yogananda, the Nityananda Institute and Supreme Science Qigong. I have been teaching yoga and meditation since 1996 and have worked with yoga, tai chi and qigong instructors, as well as massage therapists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists and medical practitioners.
I hold an Applied Behavioral Science Degree from George Williams College in Downers Grove, Illinois and was trained in counseling and facilitation from the Sage Corporation. I also received massage therapy training from the International Professional School of Bodywork (Institute of Psycho-Structural Balance) and the Oregon School of Massage. I am attuned to Reiki through Usui Reiki Ryoho.
I primarily teach a form a yoga sometimes called Viniyoga, Vinyasa or Desikachar (named after its founder), which is a practice over 1200 years old. This method integrates breath with movement while creating strength and flexibility. Rather than ask people to conform to an ideal postural form, this tradition makes poses conform to the needs of the individual by using postures, breath work and other yogic techniques.
In 2011, alongside my loving and supportive partners, VeAnne and Kaya, we founded Breathe Yoga and Massage and are so happy to see her thriving as a beacon of light for the Vancouver community.
Practice Flow Yoga on Tuesdays and Core-Breath Yoga on Thursdays at 9:00am.
