Every Friday night at 7:00pm, Breathe hosts a guided meditation class. Styles and instructors rotate weekly, and details for each week's meditation can be found posted in our studio, in our meditation newsletter and on our Facebook event page.
Our Friday Night Meditations are guided by an instructor and designed for everyone. If you are a beginner, having a guide can be helpful since you will be offered techniques such as preparatory movements and visualizations that will bring ease to your meditation. If you are an experienced sitter, guided meditation is a great way to maintain and enhance your practice. In each class, we will focus on connecting with our deeper selves to become refreshed, relaxed and aware of the present moment.
In addition to promoting a deep sense of calm and relaxation, research shows that mindfulness meditation and visualization can reduce blood pressure and other problems associated with stress. You can use it to help reach goals, manage pain and promote emotional and physical healing. You may develop more control of your emotions and thought processes, which will improve your attitude, health, overall sense of well-being and even sleep.
